What cookies this website uses, why they exist, and how to turn them off if you want to.
Cookies are small text files that websites save on your device. They’re used to remember things (like whether you’re logged in), make sites work properly, and sometimes to track what you’re doing across the web.
This site uses as few cookies as possible, and none of them are used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
This business used to trade as Virtually Rory. It now trades as The Hybrid VA. Same business, same person (Rory Manning), same ICO registration. If you visited the site before May 2026, you may still have cookies set under the old vr_ prefix. These are harmless and will expire naturally. The site now uses hva_ prefixed cookies going forward.
That’s it. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn tag, no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers.
Some pages on this site link out to or embed content from third parties. If you interact with those, they may set their own cookies:
I don’t control those cookies. Their privacy and cookie policies apply when you use those services.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in the settings. Here’s how:
Blocking the essential PHPSESSID cookie will break forms and the booking flow. Blocking the others is fine and won’t affect anything important.
For more on how to manage cookies generally, aboutcookies.org is a good guide.
This site respects Do Not Track signals. If your browser sends a DNT header, the analytics cookie (hva_visitor) is not set.
If I add new cookies or services, this page gets updated. The date at the top will tell you when. For anything significant, I’ll flag it on the homepage or in the newsletter.
See also my Privacy Policy for how I handle personal data more broadly.
